The cacao is sourced from Guatemalan fruit forests, grown in its ancestral land in the mountain region of Alta Verapaz at the mouth of the Lanquin River.
From seed to ceremony the cacao is handled with a lot of heart. All the processes from harvest to fermenting, sun-drying, toasting (on low temperature), peeling and grinding are done with integrity and fair payments to all hands involved, as well as with deep gratitude to Mother Earth. A women’s collective around Lake Atitlan is taking care of roasting and hand-peeling the seeds. The artisanal processing allows an extraordinarily high-quality cacao.
How to prepare
A cup of Love:
Heat water (not boiling) 100-150ml
Finely chop the cacao
Add spices to taste
Add natural sweetener if needed (honey)
Mix with a whisk or a blender
Pour in your favorite Ceremonial Cup
Infuse with prayer & drink with love
Dosage:
Daily ritual: 15-20gr cacao
Ceremonial dose: 33gr cacao
